FUNDING PROJECTS

Dartmoor Livestock Protection Society's funds are spent prudently to help the animals. DLPS is run by volunteers.

DLPS money assists with:

  • Emergency veterinary treatment for injured and sick animals
  • Livestock Protection Ranger to tackle sheep worrying
  • 40 mph speed signs on unfenced roads
  • Supporting a number of moorland sheep and ponies in care
  • Information leaflets
  • Dartmoor Hill Pony Association's promotion of hill ponies
  • Compassion in World Farming's campaigns against the export of live animals for slaughter
